First impressions matter, especially on the web.
The maximum amount of time that an average web user is willing to wait for a page to load has been shown to be about 15 seconds. Graphics and other types of multimedia account for the largest segment of this process. It is best to keep individual page size small by only including one or two small well-designed graphics per page, and increasing the number of total pages to spread content out over a larger area.
