The banner shown above is a custom one I made for my site, Sonic Excellence. If you are a member of this ring, I can make a similar one for you. The purpose of these banners is to send them to a company like LinkExchange. When you put their code on your page, it shows a banner from some other website. Generally, every second time your page is viewed, your banner is viewed on someone else's page. It's a 2-for-1 deal. Some banner exchange companies sweeten the deal by getting closer to a 1-for-1 ratio.
The customizable portion is the left side of the last frame. Dimensions of this are: WIDTH=231, HEIGHT=56. Total dimensions are: WIDTH=468, HEIGHT=60, the standard size for banner exchanges. The file size is approximately 8-9 K. Note: Some banner exchange companies use a non-standard size banner.
Colors available are shown in the following image. Dithering can provide additional colors. The gray button in the above image is actually dithered black and white.
What I will do for free is add your website name in your choice of color (and font, if I have it) and a background color, and the optional button. Any other custom work will be charged my normal fee of $30 per hour. You can also submit your own artwork. Just keep in mind the colors you can use, the palette index numbers and the dimensions. Make sure it looks the way you want before you send it to me.
